Ibn Sina / Avicenna | “The Canon of Medicine” in Ireland
Outstanding finding in Ireland: a translated fragment from “The Canon of Medicine” by the Persian polymath Ibn Sina / Avicenna (930-1037), one of the most brilliant minds of the Middle Ages. This medical encyclopedia, based on the Greco-Roman, Persian and Indian medicine, plus the advanced science and innovations within the Abbasid Caliphate borders - was of such value that it was used until 1650. Great minds knows no borders.
